The Chicago Bankruptcy Guy

Who is The Chicago Bankruptcy Guy?

  • The entire site is dedicated to you except for this page. Here, I get to talk about me.
  • Your Best Interests Are My Priority

  • First and foremost I want you to know that the best interests of my clients are always my number one priority. I take a personal interest in every case because I want my reputation to always precede me and because I want I want you to reach your future goals and have continued financial success long after your case is over.
  • My Approach to Debt Relief

  • Notice I didn't say "my approach to bankruptcy." The reason why is because bankruptcy may not be the best debt relief option in every case.
  • I will represent you in a bankruptcy case only if bankruptcy is the superior debt relief option. I don't run a bankruptcy mill and therefore won't represent you simply because you walked through my door and I can increase my profits. That would be unethical.
  • Instead, I will complete a detailed analysis of your finances, discuss your goals, explain the pros and cons, and I may advise a non-bankruptcy course of action.
  • I may refer you to a reputable credit counseling agency, recommend non-bankruptcy debt settlement, or simply advise you to do nothing (if you are what is called "judgment proof").
  • Bankruptcy Law and Asset Protection are my Only Areas of Practice

  • My goal was to practice consumer bankruptcy law since law school. So I'm in the niche where I belong. I am therefore passionate about bankruptcy law, completely dedicated to it, and always on the cutting edge.
  • I relish fighting for consumers who are often up against and manipulated by creditors and debt collectors with vastly more resources, knowledge, and experience.
  • Bankruptcy law can be unintuitive and complex. And I think you're smart enough not to hire a a mere bankruptcy "dabbler" to represent your interests.
  • You want a lawyer that eats and sleeps bankruptcy law. One that incorporates the latest judicial decisions. A lawyer that understands the intricate interactions of bankruptcy law with other areas of law such as family law, eviction law, foreclosure law, condominium law, and tax law.
  • A lawyer that is familiar with Chicago bankrputcy judges, Chicago bankruptcy trustees, and Chicago consumer bankruptcy customs and procedures.
  • My Background

  • I've spent many years working in the banking industry, and I'm a former U.S. Marine who was honorably discharged after serving two combat tours in Iraq.
  • I am rooted in the community. I was raised in the Northwest area of Chicago. I went to college in Chicago and I attended law school in Chicago.
  • This is where I reside and practice law today. I'm ready to give back to the community that supported me along the way.
